Welcome to the Coalville Festival of Music
The Coalville Festival of Music celebrated its 26th Anniversary at the 2009 Festival.
The event culminated in a Festival Concert held on Friday 5th June when winners and participants in classes at the Festival performed their respective pieces. The Concert included a wide range of classes and the packed audience was given an exciting programme of entertainment including vocalists and pianists, music from Mozart and west end musicals and ended with an entertaining selection from a Barbershop Quartet.

The Festival’s President, David Taylor MP, compered the evening and thanked not just the participants of the Concert but also the parents and teachers who have given their support over the years.

The Festival Committee regret to announce the death of its President, David Taylor MP, who has always given his whole-hearted support to the work of the Festival. Our sympathy is extended to his wife and family at this very sad time.
